Was It A Dream ?

The moonlight is shining all over the town
And everyone we know is asleep now
It's only you and me in the car, riding around
Our favourite music and laughs, no other sound
The wind running through our hair and tickling our faces
We blow our worries off with it as it passes
To accompany us we've the twinkling stars and the empty streets
Who know everything about us and all our secret meets
Only for this moment, we're free of all tags
No more barriers and nobody showing us those red flags
While hiding from the world, we created one of our own
Where it's just us and everything but happiness is unknown
As soon as I blink my eyes, the moment is gone
And we sneak back into the world of 'rights and wrongs'
Then I start to wonder, was it all just a dream?
But hey, even dreams aren't as unreal as it all seemed!
