Unplugged Tale - Take Two

Isn’t it strange, when two people know each other for a very long time? They sit together, and still don’t have much to talk about, because they know everything about each other! THAT is what happened with Radhey and Rucha!

They were out on a week-night, and instead of going to a pub to dance on loud music or going to a bar to get drunk they chose to go on a hill outside the City. when they reached there the city-lights were up. From there, the city looked like a strange place! They had lived in this city since they were kids, but now it feels like they don’t know anything about it! They sat on the hill, quietly.

Suddenly, Radhey had a huge grin on his face! “What?” Rucha noticed it, “Why are You smiling?” . “Nothing, You just slapped Me!” Radhey replied, still smiling towards the city. “When?” She turned her head towards Radhey and asked with a confused look. “ Are You high?” She asked with a hint of irritation. “No! You slapped Me in My head!” He turned His head towards Rucha, still smiling! Rucha calms down and replies, “ Then there has to be some reason behind it?” with a slight smile! “Yeah, it’s something that I said and You didn’t like it!” He said with a little  confidence in his tone. “ And what exactly did You say?” She asked with a little intrigue turning towards the city again. He too looked away from Her towards the city and replied with a calm expression and voice “That ‘I Love You’!” .

Rucha looked at Radhey with astonishment in her eyes, but then again, She knew He liked Her since the day they met. She tried to calm Herself and reason back with Him “Okay! But telling Someone that You like them is not a crime! She, I mean ‘I’ have no right to slap You! You were just sharing Your feelings!” She looks back towards the city . Radhey realises her play and starts toying around with her idea further “But does telling Someone that You like them make any difference? Does that change anything in particular?” He tries to make a point while looking back at Her. “Yes! It changes everything! The whole equation changes!” Rucha replied with a slight smile, trying to ignore His gaze. Radhey leans a bit towards Rucha, trying to notice the reflection of the city-lights in her eyes “How?” He asks while squinting His eyes, in a dense voice. 

Rucha, enjoying the attention and leaning a bit towards Radhey, replied with a mischievous smile “Really? You don’t know? Then how come You proposed Me? Sorry! Your ‘Imaginary Me’! You Love Her?” still trying not to look at His face! Radhey replies with a confident tone while turning towards the city “Yeah! I do! I just like being around ‘Her’, talking to ‘Her’, spending time with ‘Her’! I mean You!” trying to merge reality with imagination with nonchalance! Rucha, now getting a little uncomfortable, replies in a stern tone “The first thing You have to do here is, stop talking to Me in Your head! I am sitting right next to You! You should address Me directly from now on! Just choose between Me or ‘Her’?” while leaning back and looking Him in the eye now.  Radhey, maintaining his calm, replies “It’s hard to choose actually!” . “What? That You’re in love with Me or ‘Her’?” She tries to find sense in this discussion. “No! You two are the same people!” he tries to make His ‘own’ sense of this discussion while looking in her eyes this time! “But I am a real person, and ‘She’ is just a figment of Your imagination!” Rucha replies with a bit of agitation in Her voice this time! Radhey trying to prove a point,“Yeah! But ‘She’ exists Somewhere! Are You getting jealous of ‘Her’?” He asks with a sly smile. Rucha replies with a fake laugh and irritation in her voice “Jealous? You must be joking? I feel like I don't even know You!” . He cuts her in between and asks “Okay! Tell Me about this ‘Equation’ You mentioned before!” trying to compose her reactions. 

Rucha realises this and tries to bring back Her senses into the discussion. She processes for a bit that Radhey had created an imaginary ‘Her’ and now She wasn’t sure where the discussion was going further. She again tries to answer Him sensibly “Listen, when You tell Someone that You love them, You are also asking them to be a part of Your life!” . Radhey replied with enthusiasm pointing towards Her “Exactly! Would You like to be a Part of My life?” , as if He found what He was looking for! Rucha, still trying to process the previous information, replies in a hurry to buy some more time “It depends, You have to break-up with ‘Her’ then?” with a hint of confusion. Radhey pounces on the opportunity “We already did! Didn’t I tell You? ‘She’ slapped Me!” He replies as if it was an obvious observation, again with a huge grin on His face. Rucha notices it and figures out what He did with this entire conversation! They both look away from each other towards the city with shy smiles on both their faces!
